Moving, Handling, and Assisting of People.

Course Start time - 9.15 am

Course Content:
Module 1 - Understand Health and Safety legislation and regulations relating to Moving and positioning of people (MPP) HSAWA, MHOR, PUWER, LOLER, RIDDOR
Module 2 - Understand Person Centred Legislation, regulations, and policies/procedures/codes of practice
Module 3 - Understand musculoskeletal injuries and the Spine
Module 4 - Understand Care/Support plans and individual functional mobility
Module 5 - Understand the principles of lifting including centre of gravity, the base of support, the position of power, and the biomechanics of lifting
Module 6 - Be Able to Identify controversial techniques and shoulder injury prevention
Module 7 - Understand Patient/service user/clients' skin
Module 8 - Be able to use equipment and correct moving and positioning techniques
Module 9 - Practical training/assessment on applying safe moving and handling techniques

Basic Life Support and Safe Use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)

Course Start time - 1.00 pm

Course Content:

Module 1 - Introductions                           Module 2 - What is First Aid?                     Module 3 - Responsibilities

Module 4 - Primary Survey                       Module 5 - Secondary Assessment           Module 6 - Resuscitation

Module 7 - Introduction to an AED            Module 8 - AED Functions

Module 9 - Defibrillation with an AED       Module 10 - Safety Measures

For cancellations made before 72 hours (3 days) of the training course:

• You can choose to receive a full refund for your training fee.
• You can transfer your registration to the next available course offering the same training.

Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled training course will be subject to a cancellation fee.
